A Tao story..

There was once a wealthy guy.. he was on a quest to search God.. and traveled wide and far.. He gave up all work to earn his food, and also denied his duty to earn to feed others.. he just didnt want to work cos he had resolved that he is only going to search God.. period..

During his search, he came across a Tao master.. and told him his story and that he was there as he was searching God.. liberation..mukti..

The master listened everything and then told him to go to a mountain top and from there to look at the burning sun.. he asked him to keep looking at the sun for a long time..

So he did as he was told and went to a mountain and started looking at the sun.. after a while he said to the master that its not so easy to constantly look at the sun.. the eyes hurt a lot..

and the master said.. you are absolutely correct... if you keep looking like this you will simply burn your eyes.. so instead look at the surroundings too.. even that will teach you what sun is!! it will teach you about God!! mukti !! or whatever you want to call it..

Bring the pure wine of

love and freedom...

But sir, a tornado is coming...

More wine,

we'll teach this storm

a thing or two about whirling...

Lost and found...

A Seeker is lost in the mountains, he is tired and thirsty...
It is night and he sees a silver bowl with crystal clear water which he drinks and then he sleeps..
In the morning he sees that the bowl was in fact a dirty old skull..
He laughed and became enlightened..

Need to be needed..

One day a tree said to the soil,"You have been such a support to me. You have given me all the nutrition and water; its you who has made me grow and be capable of giving others what I have. You have become a need for me. I wonder what would be your need?"

Soil answers,"Being your need IS my 'NEED'...."

Lovely poem..

I carry your heart with me.

I carry it in my heart.

I am never without it.

Anywhere I go, you go, my dear.

And whatever is done by only me
is your doing, my darling.

I fear no fate...
for you are my fate, my sweet.

I want no world, for, beautiful
you are my world, my true.

Here is the deepest secret
no one knows.

Here is the root of the root.
and the bud of the bud...

and the sky of the sky
of a tree called life...

which grows higher
than the soul can hope...

or mind can hide.

It is the wonder
that's keeping the stars apart.

I carry your heart.

I carry it in my heart.

Der lagi aane main tum ko...

Shafaq, dhanak, mahtaab, ghataayen..

taare, nagmein, bijli, phuul..

us daaman mein kya kya kuch hai...

vo daaman haath mein aaye to...

... der lagi aane main tum ko.. shukr hai phir bhi aaye toh...

Daffodils...

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling leaves in glee;
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company!
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

When the maker formed nature..

Why imperfect was the venture..

If it is good, why departure?

And if bad, why form capture?

Trouble Tree..

A story that i enjoy..

The carpenter i hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a rough day on the job. A flat tyre made him lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit and now his ancient pick up truck refused to start. While i drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in, to meet his family. As we walked towards the front door, he paused briefly at the small tree, touching the tips of branches with both hands.

When opening the door he underwent amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles, he hugged his two small children, gave his wife a kiss. Afterwards he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what i had seen him do earlier.

"Oh! That's my TROUBLE TREE" , he replied. I know i cant avoid having troubles on the job. But one thing is for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and children. So i just hang them up on the tree every night when i come home. Then in the morning i pick them up again. "Funny thing is" he smiled, " when i come out in the morning to pick them up, there aren't as many as i remember hanging up the night before."

The Weather cock....

Said the weather cock to the wind, "How tedious and monotonous you are! Can you not blow any other way but in my face? You disturb my God- given stability."
And the Wind did not answer...it only laughed in space..
